"Equipment not suitable from Community Resources Team"

About: Clinical & rehabilitation services / Community resource team

(as the patient),

About 3 weeks ago I asked district nurse for two new rubber ends for the crutches I use to mobilise and to keep my back upright. She measured me but crutches delivered were too short. Tried to get new ones for over 2 weeks now with no luck even thought I explained to the district nurse and occupational therapist that they were too low. This has made my back pain worse so cannot wait to get crutches at the right height.

Occupational therapist said they can get my bed raised, a new bed lever, another handle on my banister and maybe a box at front door to use as a step - I have had to fight for any help I have had up to now so it was really good that the help is there for me now.
