I had medical management in Ward 23 twice over the course of two weeks for my delayed miscarriage, but it failed, so a week later when I started bleeding very heavily I went in for emergency surgery to remove remaining tissue etc. The whole time I had such kind and caring midwives, nurses, doctors, assistants etc, that really made the whole traumatic experience much more bearable for me. When I turned up shaken from my heavy bleeding I was attended to straight away and was reassured that I would be well looked after, they calmed me and the bleeding down. I had to wait over 24 hours for surgery but I understand that's not the fault of anyone, just an overstretched NHS system. Everything was explained to me clearly and I was constantly informed of what was going on. The kindness and humour of the staff was really of support to me and at such a diffcult time I couldn't have asked for better care. I could see how hard all the staff work, long shifts but always doing their job to the highest standard. Thank you so much for looking after me and my husband so well.
"Wonderful care on Ward 23 for miscarriage"
