I attended the Whittington hospital urgent care unit on 6th November 2018. I presented with asthma, temperature etc I was seen by a nurse within 15minutes and then got moved to A&E where I was seen in about am hour by the loveliest doctor. She checked my breathing and moved me to a cubicle as soon as one was available. She consulted with me throughout, running lots of tests, x ray and gave me plenty of medication. The nurse who carried it out was equally lovely. A friendly porter took me by wheelchair to the x-ray unit and another friendly, efficient doctor came by to give me the results. After 4hours of through medical care and attention I was taken to Clinical Decision Unit. There, they gave me tea and a hot meal and monitored me for another hour before discharging me with a care plan and suitable medication.
I could not have been in better hands. Every member of staff was attentive, friendly and kept checking in with me regarding my thoughts on the best course of action. They explained everything I asked and were honestly, the best. I could not recommend them highly enough. Long live the NHS and its truly wonderful staff.
"Lovely, attentive sraff"
