I was admitted to surgical unit two for the removal of a bladder tumour on the 1st November 2018. From the moment I was collected from the waiting area up until the time I was released from ward 8 @19:00 on the 2nd November, I can only say that the treatment I received from all of the staff was exemplary. The procedure was clearly explained and all of my questions were answered fully by both Doctors and nurses throughout my stay. What I saw was a dedicated team of professionals who treated me with dignity and respect throughout. At difficult moments when I was struggling with pain etc ( which was dealt with very quickly. ) the pain symptoms were explained so I didn't need to worry unduly that something may be wrong.
I would recommend this department to anyone needing surgery in the future. I send my best wishes and gratitude to all the staff concerned.
