"Antenatal clinic at Tameside"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

The care provided by the Antenatal clinic and in particular Gill was first class. After my wife was diagnosed to have Anti C, an antibody which can cause the baby to be born with anaemia or haemalytic disease, Gill the midwife explained everything to us in lay terms that was easy for us to understand and gave us great advice on making sure the antibody levels didn't rise. Her level of care was above and beyond our expectations and we would like to personally thank her. Our son was born last week and is doing really well and we wanted to thank everyone in Antenatal, delivery suite and ward 27 for their first class care.

Thank you for posting these comments. This must have been a very worrying time for you and your wife. I am pleased that the outcome was so positive, and will make sure midwife Gill is made aware of your kind comments.

Would you like to help the hospital to improve its services further? We are currently looking for patients and carers to become involved in a development called “Patient Stories”. We want to know more about our services from the point of view of those who received them – what was good, bad, what could be improved, what should be changed. Want to know more about what’s involved?
