My GP is awful. If I want anything done I have to return multiple times and without fail break into incontrollable crying.
I found them condescending, lacking knowledge and having zero bedside manner.
I had a bulged disc which was dismissed for months. X-ray results I was told showed nothing, but when I insisted on an appointment to discuss, there definitely were some abnormalities noted. I had to push for months for an MRI when I could barely walk. I was put through severe pain for longer than necessary due to their incompetence. When I finally did have an MRI (after causing a fuss in hysterics and multiple visits), it showed that of course I had a bulged disc pressing on a nerve (I had sciatic pain obviously). Not once over the last 2 years have they offered me any sort of pain management. I was referred to a pain clinic (upon my own research and requests) which was useless to me as well.
I will be moving GPs asap, and only have not done so yet as none of the GPs in my area have good reviews!!
The behaviour my GPs showed me was terrible, I am a very strong, confident person, unafraid to say what I think, feel and unafraid to ask for what I want. However, even I get anxious when having to go and see them, I have to mentally prepare for the fight to get what I want and to cry on command. I can't imagine what other people who have less confidence experience when going to this GP.
I will also mention that any time there is a possibility of charging for something, like a signature on a form (which is ridiculous), they insist on receiving cash only as payment. This does not bode well for my faith in them actually being legitimate with their finances.
