"Closing time"

About: Northwick Park Hospital

I arrived at 12:27 after being discharged and wanted to get my medicine.

The guy at the window said that they are closed and to come back when they are opened.

I was just discharged from maternity because of complications and I would’nt be able to get my antibiotics until Monday...what was I supposed to do? They had 3 mins before closing but still refused. I will have to travel 1+ hour to get there from my home. I’m pregnant, exhausted and tired and now I don’t even know what to do?

Dear Madam,

I am very sorry to hear this. This is certainly not our usual practice and where possible we do try very hard to ensure that people do leave with the medication that they need. I do hope that you were able to get the antibiotics that you needed.
