"Double CABG"

About: Glenfield Hospital

Having determined that stents were unsuitable to resolve my angina symptoms, I was admitted for cardiac surgery on 5th September.

On 6th September I received a double CABG, spent a night on the intensive care ward followed by four nights back on the main ward.

Just six nights in total.

The treatment and care I received was tremendous.

I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all involved; the surgical team, the nurses on ICU, all those involved on ward 31 and the many others behind the scenes whom I never met.

I feel very humble in realising that I will never be able to repay this team of wonderful people for their dedication, skill and commitment.

Thank you.
