"Surviving Sepsis"

About: Homerton University Hospital / Accident and emergency Homerton University Hospital / General medicine London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Somerford Grove Practice

(as the patient),

I went to see my GP feeling very unwell. Thankfully the GP recognised it as sepsis & sent me to hospital by ambulance where I was quickly started with treatment.   Through out the five or so days every Doctor Nurse Paramedic & other health worker I met was kind & professional making what was at times a frightening experience, safe & reassuring.   I was touched when a week or so after being discharged from hospital the GP I’d seen at the start gave me a call to see how I was.   A very big thank you to everyone
