About: Basildon University Hospital / Maternity

We had our son 25th October and although it wasn’t the greatest start to parenthood I cannot fault the staff at Basildon enough , all the staff in delivery suite but especially from CMU were absolute hero’s when my husband and I needed help and when things didn’t go according to plan , nothing was a problem to any of them, they were all incredible we have never felt so much support in our lives. All these amazing women are heroes in their own right and Any one having a baby at Basildon under the watch of these staff are in the safest hands imaginable! Thank you so much to each and every one of you.

May we take this opportunity to thank you for your kind words and offer our congratulations on your birth of your son.

We are pleased that your recent experience of care in the maternity unit at Basildon Hospital was a positive one and that you and your husband felt supported during a difficult delivery.

Your kinds words have been forwarded on to the maternity service.

Please remember that any woman who has given birth at Basildon University Hospital, no matter how long ago, is able to self-refer to our ‘birth afterthoughts service’. Mums can contact the service to talk through their birth experience, ask general questions, or try to piece together those hazy hours spent in labour that seem impossible to recall. Contact this service by calling ext 3458 or emailing birthafterthoughts@btuh.nhs.uk.
