"Awful surgery!"

After moving to the area and finding out this is the only doctors I’m entitled to join I wasn’t thrilled when I read reviews. I thought I’d make my own mind up. Well where to start?! Before I could join properly I needed to see a doctor or a nurse immediately, I’m pregnant and needed to be seen by the doctor as my local hospital was far away they thought this would be easier. My midwife said the surgery has to make an appointment for me but the receptionist basically told me no appointments, I had to wait for the doctor to ring me, I got very angry and eventually they agreed to see me. I got to the surgery to be ignored by the receptionist for 5 minutes while she tapped away on a keyboard and spoke to another receptionist. No acknowledgement at all, I was visibly in pain. I then had to have the argument again about seeing the doctor, anyway I finally got an appointment for 10.40 so I decided to wait. I didn’t get seen until 11.10, the waiting room was empty, doctors and nurses walking everywhere with nothing to do while I was in a lot of pain worrying about my unborn baby. The next time I needed them was when I thought I had a urine infection (still pregnant, uti’s are very dangerous when pregnant) I rang up the surgery asking if I could drop a sample, they said yes. I got to the surgery to be ignored again for 5 minutes. And then to be told I was too late and had to get a sample in before 2 o’clock. Receptionist was very rude and wasn’t accepting anything so suggested I came back in the morning. Any lady will tell you how uncomfortable and painful UTI’s are and any midwife will tell you how important it is to get treatment quickly when pregnant with a UTI. There’s no compassion, care or respect at this doctors it’s just disgusting. Looks like complaining doesn’t do anything going off of these reviews.
