What could be improved
Last night my 92 year old mother had a fall at her residential home. The paramedics were called and took her to the Royal Bournemouth hospital A & E dept. at about 5.30p.m.. At 8p.m. the home phoned me to say that my mother, who suffers from advanced Alzheimers, had no breakages and was awaiting hospital transport to take her back to the residential home. She arrived at 2.30a.m.!
I consider this disgraceful treatment of such an old and vulnerable person. She waited for over 6 hours alone and with no food or drink. I should like to discuss this with a manager - there was no answer to the phone at 4.30p.m. so they obviously do not wait around themselves.
Anything else?
