It has taken me ages to write this. I've been meaning to get in touch to say a huge thank you to Midwife Donna. I was in ARI to have my twins. They arrived 6. 5 hours after induction of labour.
Donna the midwife (with over 20years experience) was amazing...she trusted in my body's ability to have the babies naturally and helped to keep the labour and delivery as stress free as possible, despite the fact that the induction had left me over stimulated.
She had a student midwife with her whose name I sadly can't remember, but who did very well. The midwives in the postnatal ward were also very good at letting me get on with breastfeeding the twins. They helped as much as I needed them to.
One area for improvement was that one day I wasn't given any lunch, which was tough when I was breastfeeding twins. I was ravenous! I also think the pediatrician who diagnosed a high arched palate in one of my twins could maybe have given me advice about how this could affect breastfeeding. And tips on how to overcome the difficulty I had. I am still feeding the twins now at almost 9 months.
