"Uncomfortable waiting area, too long a wait"

About: Rotherham Hospital / Accident and emergency

My husband and I arrived at A & E, after being told there was a wait of about an hour and a half by phone.

We arrived at 11 am on Thursday, 25th October, 2018.

I hadn't had hardly any sleep the night before because of the pain in my right hip. I telephoned the doctor prior to visiting A & E and she said I may need an x ray so to visit A & E.

After an hour, I was starting to have neck pain due to the uncomfortable seats and starting to feel hungry.

We didn't want to go into the main hospital to get something to eat in case we were called in.

At 1 oclock I was starting to get a migraine because of the discomfort and lack of food. I have IBS and need to eat at regular times.

After 3 1\2 hours, we were called in to see the doctor and he reassured me it was a pulled muscle and gave me some pain killers.

To add insult to injury, we hade to pay £4.50 for the privilege for car parking fees.
