I would just like to thank all the midwives that helped me from start to finish throughout my labour/birth process.
I cannot fault anyone at the hospital, from the minute i arrived i was given my own room which i was so happy with as i liked my own personal space with my partner & mum.
I was then offered a bath which i was so grateful for as this helped with my pain.
I was examined at 6pm as advised and told i was being moved to labour ward, soon after i was in the water pool as i requested.
My midwife Anne arrived and from the minute she arrived i felt at ease. The room lights were dimmed, music was playing and everything felt nice and relaxing (with exception to the pain obv course).
Anne was so nice and reassuring throughout my labour. I was really struggling as my wee boy was back to back and i felt i was pushing and pushing and getting no where,i was shouting for a c-section and an epidural both of which i was very clear that i didnt want when i was in a sane mind. I am so glad Anne persevered with me and helped me through the safe delivery of my beautiful son Mason (without further pain relief).
I was taken back to my labour room to be stitched another process which i feel went well.
After the whole birth i did feel very overwhelmed, exhausted and confused. I got myself in a bit of an emotional state however, the midwives the following morning (sorry i have forgot names:-( ) were so great with me and reassuring that i was just needing a good sleep and they were right as i felt so much better and inlove with my son as soon as i had slept.
I was told i may have to stay in for 24 hours to be monitored this also got me upset however,as my blood pressure and temp went back to normal one of the lovely midwives requested i only be monitored for 12 hours -This i was extremely grateful for.
I would also like to thank my midwife fiona for her assistance throughout my pregnancy & aftercare.
Thank you all again for making my experience as well as it could have been.
Kind Regards
