I’m writing this message to acknowledge the excellent care and compassion the A& E and ward 101 staff showed my fiancé and our family in the early hours of a day in mid September 2018. My fiancé was in ward 101 having his heart monitored, when his father tragically passed away in the car park of the hospital grounds. We where overwhelmed with the genuine kindness we received from all staff we came into contact with. To the male A& E charge nurse working the night shift, thank you for consoling my fiancé when I couldn’t be with him and for answering all our questions with great compassion and dignity. You are an excellent role model to your team and an asset to NHS Grampian. I would also like to thank the health care support worker who found my father in law and made every effort to save him. I know that wouldn’t have been easy for you but please know we think you are an amazing person and I hope this message brings you great comfort. Thank you again for helping my family and myself in our time of need and I hope this message gives you the recognition you all deserve.
