"Chasing up my sick note"

About: General practices in Ayrshire & Arran University Hospital Ayr / X-rays and Scans

(as a service user),

I recently attended Ayr Hospital for an X-ray. The normal procedure in this situation is that the doctor that gives the assessment provides a sick note, this makes everything simple and easy.

On this occasion, the doctor told me I have to get my sick note from my GP at Station Road Medical Centre, I've spoken to two doctors there and of course they told me I should follow procedures and get my note from  Ayr. I've been back and forth between the hospital and the GP ringing each night and still no sick note, these are doctors who have much more important things to be doing than chasing up these phone calls. I am so frustrated, and the doctors are just as fed up as I am.
