"Demeaned by a Doctor"

About: Temple Fortune Medical Group

(as the patient),

Having previously been seen by my another doctor who has since retired I had been passed over to this doctor with whom I had 3 interactions.

Each one left me feeling upset and diminished, I felt that this Dr generally gave me the impression that my concerns were invalid or made up and that by coming in I was wasting NHS resources. For instance having taken a private blood test there was an indication that my GI levels were high and I could potentially be pre-diabetic. I came to see this Dr for the first time and was told that I was wasting NHS resources coming in for further checks (to my mind a few blood tests and then some early prevention in a handful of instances is probably going to be a lot cheaper for the NHS than treating diabetes but what do I know? )

When I later came around other things this same Dr chided me, saying I can't expect the surgery to call me up with results, I have to call in. I had called up previously so this telling off was a non sequitur, although it still made me feel small all the same.
