"Vaccinations / Change of Doctors"

I needed to register with a new doctor and get vaccinations. I had moved away for university and registered with a doctor there and now needed to re-register back home. However I felt my original practice which I attended as a child (Constable County Medical Practice) were extremely unhelpful and seemed unsympathetic about my need to arrange to a vaccination asap (for a work trip) and was told that I needed to come in a register, they couldn't do anything till then. I was also told that there was a need to wait for records before they could book an appointment.

This led me seek a different doctor and I visited Felixstowe Road Medical Practice this morning and they were brilliant the receptionist registered me and got me an appointment for this afternoon, they kindly asked if I could gather all the information I could about previous vaccinations to help them and advised me to contact my previous doctors who could give me that information. Which led me to the final part, contacting Beaconside Health Centre, Stafford (where I had registered for University) the receptionist extremely helpful and tracked down my records and was able to give me all the help I needed.

Overall after the initial disappointment of dealing with the doctor's in Capel it was a pleasure to deal with the two other surgeries who were helpful, understanding and made it a pleasure to deal with them :-)
