"Second baby at the Whittington"

About: The Whittington Hospital / Maternity care

I had my second baby at the Whittington last week. I was induced on Murray Ward and the care was excellent.

I had a private room and I was able to go for walks outside of the hospital between checks which was really great. Once on labour ward things progressed very rapidly (!) and although my midwife was taken slightly off guard all went well and my baby daughter was delivered quickly and safely. The postnatal care on Cellier Ward was great. Postnatal wards are always going to be tricky environments with lots of tired parents and crying babies but I was really happy with the care and support we received. All of the staff we met were kind, positive and professional.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review regarding our maternity services.

Many congratulations on the birth of your daughter!

We hope that mum and baby are both doing well.

We are really pleased to hear that you had such a positive experience throughout your labour, with good antenatal and postnatal care and support on Murray and Cellier Wards.

We will ensure that your feedback is shared with all relevant teams and also with service and senior managers across our maternity service.

It is always a pleasure to read that our staff have given good care to our patients.

All our best
