"We feel so let down by a hospital that up until..."

What I liked

The way I was treated was very good,the Doctor explained all that would be

done for my Hernia.First they would need to confer with the Anaesthetist to

see if he was prepared to do it.I have Asthma and COPD.He after an appointment

with me was satisfied that he could do it with no problems.I was later called back to

the hospital to see a doctor,and we thought to have the procedure.

This doctor then said that he could not do it.Why then did he say in the first

place that it was down to the Anaesthetist whether it was done or not. I asked this

doctor surgeon what would be done if it started to strangle itself.He replied

'' We would have to do the best we could'' meaning I could live or die.Is this the

attitude I am expected to receive when I go to an NHS hospital.I would imagine

his Sunday joint got more attention.All this hernia does is make my COPD worse.

It's a simple key-hole surgery that my daughter has gone through,and she has

asthma.

I would like somebody to intervene so I could have this surgery I promised.
