"Not referred when lump discovered"

About: Sentinel Healthcare Southwest Community Interest Company / Referral & Appointment Booking Team

(as the patient),

I discovered a small lump in my groin in July 11. I was told when it becomes larger I would require treatment for hernia.

Could you tell me why I wasn't referred at that time? It is now large and spreading, it would appear on a daily basis. I am concerned.

Dear passage42

Thank you for responding on Patient Opinion, given the concerns you have raised it would be sensible for you to make contact with me so we can make sure we understand what has happened? My e-mail is neilparsons@nhs.net or telephone 01752 434908.

I would also suggest that if you have any concerns about your helath that you discuss them with your GP who will be able to advise you about the clinical decision they made.

Again let me thank you for your e-mail, I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Best wishes
