I would like to acknowledge and thank the maternity department after requiring an unexpected cesarean section to deliver our son. We were disappointed to be told a natural birth would not be possible but we were really impressed with the efforts made to make the operation feel like a birth. We were offered the chance to input in how we wanted him delivered. The theatre staff were warm and friendly, introduced themselves and congratulated us when he was born. Our midwife (Marie) kept us informed of what was happening throughout and supported us in the hours following delivery. Thank you again.
Once on the recovery ward (John Mac.) we were looked after by all staff. Everyone was supportive and encouraging and we received great care. I can't thank the ward enough for all they did for us.
"Really impressed with the efforts made"
