After a most worrying diagnosis from my optician, the hospital took me in the following day and operated on my eye. The procedure was well-explained by the nurses and surgeons, and the process was carried out with great care and in a way to minimise my discomfort. On reading up I was impressed by the precision which such an operation demands, and based on my experience I feel that the Burnley team are clearly masters of.what is a most complex and delicate procedure.
The nursing staff were extremely helpful and respectful and gave detailed guidance and information both on the day of the operation, and in subsequent follow-up visits. .
My eye has not only been saved, but improved. It now sees better than it did before, so I will need weaker glasses.
I am not allowed to mention names, but the people who treated me know who they are, so this is to say "Thank you".
