"ONE STOP BREAST CLINIC"

About: Cumberland Infirmary / Breast surgery

After I found thickening in my breast tissue my GP referred me to the breast screening clinic at Carlisle Infirmary.

I was surprised to be called and offered an early morning appointment just a week later.

I was seen by a female consultant who examined me and then sent me along to have a mammogram.

I was then asked to wait until the consultant had studied the mammogram images.

A short time later I was called into another room and told the images showed there was nothing abnormal & all was well. I could dress and go. All of this took less than 2 hours.

I could not have had better care if I'd had private treatment. At all times I was treated respectfully & efficiently and everything was explained to me. Thank you.
