"Terrible"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital

Awful experience time and time again. Giving birth to my son in the MLU was such a traumatic experience as there was zero care. As a first time mum I expected so help but was ignored to the extent that on one occasion I rang the buzzer during the night and a midwife came, switched off the buzzer and walked out.

Now my mum has terminal cancer and the care in the hospital is horrendous. Getting medication is a mission and there are extremely long delays so mum is in awful pain for hours. She accidentally pulled out her iv one night when going to the bathroom and blood was pouring everywhere. The on duty nurse had a go at her. Where is the care and compassion in the nhs these days? Seeing a consultant is an extremely rare occurance, sometimes mum has to wait all day for a review in pain.

I'm disgusted that this is how a dying lady is treated.
