"Wrap around end of life care"

(as a relative),

Today (at the weekend) we've had rapid responses from NHS24, 2 on-call GPs, "our" named Clinical Nurse Specialist at St Columba's hospice, the district nurses, and community pharmacy.   All of this was put in place after a single call to NHS24. Immediately helpful to the changing situation with our loved one in Edinburgh and very comforting to family gathered round. Thank you NHS24 and NHS Lothian.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience on Care Opinion. I appreciate that this will remain a difficult time for you, and your family, however I am pleased to note you all have been comforted by the support put in place for your loved one. I understand, with the distance involved, this will be an especially difficult time for you.

Your experience is an excellent example of services working together to ensure the best possible care for patients. I am pleased the journey of care was seamless as this is what we all strive to achieve at all times. It was very good of you to take the time to get in touch. I am sure my colleagues within NHS Lothian will be equally pleased with your experience.
