"Waiting times in clinic and attitude of..."

About: Royal Hallamshire Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

I visited ENT 11 September this year. Sadly the staff were dealing with very difficult waiting times and lack of doctors which I fully appreciate is not their fault. Is this department particularly underfunded ?Incidentally the " emergency" clinic waiting time for appointments was approx two weeks.

Secondly can I draw your attention to the poor telephone manner of your telephone staff. I called the ENT appointments number and after being on hold for a significant time was met by a patronising dismissive attitude. Surely a pleasant telephone manner is not too much to ask ???If they don't want their job maybe they would like to give it to someone who would appreciate it and speak to members of the public in a pleasant manner.
