Great staff and fantastic care from all staff and fantastic communication at the urology unit.
No considerations for the patients dignity supplied by the hospital
The waiting area is possibly the most distressing part for those waiting and receiving treatment
All patients are given no privacy or dignity
From urine samples to changing into gowns
Then having to walk down the corridor to and from treatment in a bum revealing gown in front of waiting patients is horrific! Blood stained gowns as patient leaves treatment for all waiting to see as they shuffle along corridor to change!
The poor nurse has to shuffle close behind the patient on the two journeys to attempt to give patient a little dignity !
A simple screen between the waiting area and the corridor of gut wrenching embarrassment could create a little more dignity prior and after treatment and reduce the fear of the waiting patients
