"Focussed depression team @ St Georges"

After waiting a very long time to be seen and going through the motions of IAPT and CMHT before treatment, I am very grateful to the staff at St Georges and in particular the clinician who was responsible for my treatment. This has enabled me to feel much more confident about the relapse and recovery process and how to manage my mental health. The clinician's knowledge of early trauma helped me to understand my experience from a different viewpoint and to begin and continue the process of reshaping unhelpful responses into more empowering ones.  The work was done in a real spirit of partnership. The kindness, empathy and compassion which I was afforded contributed a great deal to this recovery. 

Some might say that this is no less than should be expected, however against a backdrop of mounting pressure, increasing workloads, minimal resources and a background of unprecedented change it demonstrates what a dedicated team you have. You should be justifiably proud.
