I was feeling very breathless with my Asthma, went to UTC at Wycombe and was seen by the Advanced Nurse Practioner,Alison. I was really feeling so low and scared, even sitting down doing nothing I felt I could hardly breathe.

Alison did my obs and decided I needed to have a nebuliser to open up my lungs, meanwhile we were discussing my medical history. She showed so much professionalism, kindness and went out of her way to care for me. Alison truly is an angel and a pure asset to the Minor Injuries and Illness Unit.

Sadly i had to return the next day as i didn't have a particular inhaler at home so my breathing was still very poor.

I was looked after Dr Umar, who, just like Alison treated me kindly, with respect and in a proffesional manner.

All of the staff I have dealt with in MIIU/UTC have been amazing, they're a great team and i honestly appreciate the great lengths they went to make me feel better.

It is very reassuring to hear that you were treated with both kindness and professionalism at a time that would have been extremely difficult and unsettling for you. We have some really fantastic staff and we know what a difference they can make in reducing anxiety and helping with a patient’s treatment.
