"treated as a whole"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department University Hospital Hairmyres / General Medicine (Wards 9-12)

(as a service user),

my story is a long one and a complicated one but I will keep this short.

I have had many appointments, procedures, A&E visits I would like to thank all the staff who have looked after me over the years as I am now In a better place I would like to give recognition to those I feel made a positive impact on my care and my life

A&E visits I have had a few but the one that stands out most was with the Staff nurse Andy not only is he handsome but he is an exceptional nurse and knows how to ease a patient

also a mention to staff nurse James he was very nice very friendly and calming

Appointments- Dr Morrison what a lady could not get any better so sad she has moved hospitals., Mr Mansel - honest caring very clever, Dr McDougall - amazing care and attention outpatients nursing staff- Staff nurse Linda caring compassionate and easy to talk to, CSW Margaret - all I can say is she is exceptional CSW Zahida - funny and caring

Porter staff - Jamie how this man does not have his own comedy show I do not know

Ward staff - Ward 14 as a whole could not ask for any better

my greatest thanks to everyone

Dear dalmation

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experiences when attending UHH. It is lovely to read your positive comments about so many staff. The individuals mentioned will be delighted to receive your feedback as will the wider teams. It is kind of you to give such detailed and personal comments to so many members of the multidisciplinary team.

As someone who has obviously experienced a number of health care encounters, your feedback is particularly welcome as you will be aware of the different pathways and support services. All staff will appreciate you taking time to write down and share your experience. Please accept my sincerest thanks from the wider team.

We hope that we can continue to provide such person centred care. Best wishes and thank you again.

Lise

Dear Dalmation,

Thank you for the kind comments regarding your visits, we have a wide and diverse group of staff involved in one persons care which you have very eloquently explained.

I'm delighted you have had a positive experience of our staff and services despite challenges of life impacts. I'll be delighted to pass on your kind words to Ward 14 and all concerned in your journey.
