"Disappointed"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I have been taken to Cramlington 3 times this year due to fits. First time I went in spent about 3 days while I was in each time I was placed in a separate room even tho with epilepsy each time I was in I took fits but not noticed another time a nurse had come to ask how much insulin I took. Apparently had said I'd have to check then said 80, I was having a fit at time she thought I had alzeimas, the last time I was there I had swollen and bruised toes as well as rest they didn't check toes which since I left hosp 1 month ago has been painful. I got my local walkin to check it and they x-rayed it and found fractured toe. I have asked not to b took there again

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for sharing this with us. I am so sorry that your experience with us has felt so poor and that this has caused you to lose confidence and trust in our emergency care hospital.

With your help we would like to find out which ward you are referring to so that we can share your review with the team, and find out more about what happened and what we can do to improve matters.

We would therefore encourage you to email us with your full name and date of birth to our email address at patient.experience@nhct.nhs.uk so that we can make a start as soon as possible.

I am pleased that you have been able to seek help from your local walk in service for your foot – I do hope this is now on the mend.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

All the best,

Annie
