"Feedback about ward A11"

Thank you so much for taking the time to speak to our volunteer and provide us with this feedback - it's really valuable in helping us to shape the way we deliver our care on the ward.

Access to outdoors

I'm glad that you felt there was enough to do to keep your mind active on the ward, and can only assume from your feedback that you were able to engage with our 'Woodland Ward' project, and managed to get outside into the grounds with support from our National Dementia Champion.

I think this will be a great thing for the staff and patients on A11, as getting off the ward for a short time, whether that is outdoors or to the café, has many benefits. To be outwith a clinical environment even for an hour was probably a welcome change of scenery as you started to feel better, and I am hopeful that we are able to continue to offer this to our patients.

There is likely to be fewer opportunities in the winter to support our patients to get outside but we aim to continue the project with indoor activities.
