We called for an appointment for my little boy for a doctor to check out a rather large wart like lump on his finger.
It has become so large that it is causing pain and discomfort.
He had banged it in school and it has become weepy and crusty, looks infected.
We got through to receptionist who asked what was wrong, put us on hold and then came back with the shocking response of "Doctors here do not deal with warts, you will have to go privately to have it removed"
Is this receptionist medically trained?
How is a 6 year old little boy meant to pay privately? How is a little boy meant to be referred to go privately if he cant past the receptionist to see a doctor.
I cant believe my son has been refused to see a doctor to see if the lump on his finger is a wart or something more sinister.
"My 6 year old son was refused an appointment"
