"Influenza Jab 2018"

Unlike all previous years,no written notification was sent this year about the availability of Flu jab. Having made an appointment for Flu vaccination personally, on Saturday 6th for my husband of 80+ for Tuesday 9th October at 11.30,on arrival found that it does not exist. No date was given when he can have it & received no phone call despite the promise that they will ring! What goes on?

We are sorry to hear of your concerns. There was a change to the structure of the Influenza Vaccination programme in the 2018/2019 schedule and unfortunately supplies nationally were very limited. We tried to stagger the appointments and contacting patients as we could not openly invite all as on several occasions we run out. This was a national issue and we are working hard to ensure that this does not happen again. If you would like further information regarding the next influenza season then please contact the practice in September and we would be happy to advise of the updated procedure.
