I broke my wrist so badly that I had to have reconstruction surgery to repair it, over time my wrist and hand had complications and I developed complex regional pain syndrome which attacks the nerves leaving me with lack of movement this also has lead to brittle bones and then I broke my foot which I was put in a walking cast. I lost the mobility that I had stopped going out due to falling over, I started losing what confidence I had left an shut myself away in the safety of my home. This caused me to have panic attacks I became depressed and couldn't cope with life outside.
I was referred to talk together Bromley by my GP I had to wait for the CBT for quite sometime as there waiting list is extremely long but it has been worth the wait. I have benefitted from this treatment with Dee as 12 weeks ago I wouldn't of gone out of the house unless it was necessary I have been given the steps to set me on the right path that I need to follow to rebuild my life , my self esteem, self confidence, and to adjust my life with my disabilities, and to be more aware of the things that I don't need to avoid to cope better,
The service provided is unbelievable and an essential part of adjusting to life, living with mental health - it gave me the right tools to know that I am not alone in the way that I feel. There is always someone to help.
