"Cardiac Arrest"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My husband was airlifted to your a and e department after having a cardiac arrest on 30/9/2018 in a village near York. I just want to thank everyone involved in his care . He was treated with dignity and care and stabilised until he went for his angiogram . The staff were quietly efficient and a lovely nurse came out and explained what was happening and allowed us to see him before he went. Now , a week on he has two stents in castle hill hospital ,getting over pneumonia but he’s here and picking up everyday ... so so grateful for our marvellous ,wonderful NHS ...FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT...XX

Thank you so much for taking the time to write to us with your wonderful warm comments.

It was very uplifting and heart-warming to read your post and I am delighted to know that your husband is now on the road to recovery. I am extremely pleased that your husband had such a positive experience whilst in our care and that you felt reassured and confident throughout his treatment.

I have passed your lovely words onto the matron for Accident and Emergency and asked that she share your positive feedback with the team. I know that all the staff will be delighted to know your husband is doing well and that they are delivering a level of care that met your needs and fulfilled all your expectations.

With kind regards
