"Waiting for a year and counting. Cancelled..."

About: Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust

I have been waiting for one year now for revisions to be conducted on a bilateral mastectomy.

Reconstruction is a process following breast tissue removal. My hope was that fat grafting would help me to recover some confidence post this brutal surgery. I have been waiting a year now with the Royal Free. My surgery has been cancelled TWICE. Even though the long wait is now having a negative psychological impact on me I continue to be cast aside.

I’d like to know what the Trust’s policy is? According to their policy how long can they acceptably keep me waiting? Indefinitely? And how many times is it permissible to cancel my surgery.

This is really hard.
