I visited the Conquest today having been advised by a physiotherapist at my initial assessment appointment that there were some concerns about my neck following an RTA in August, & that I should be seen in A and E.
I was seen by triage within ten minutes of my arrival, and by an emergency doctor within 35 minutes of my arrival.
He examined my neck and advised an X Ray. After 20 minutes or so he asked me to speak with him again. He had spoken to radiology and discussed that an X Ray wouldn't really show very much and that an MRI would be needed and he'd do an urgent referral.
As I was leaving the hospital the radiographer and doctor called me back in to say that they'd been able to fit me in for an MRI tomorrow.
The care and help that I was given were second to none. The department went above and beyond and my mind has been put at rest that I will now receive the right treatment. Thank you all so much. I am proud of the NHS.
"Excellent Care. Went the extra mile"
