"Patients needs are not important to..."

About: Firs House Surgery

I have had several bad experiences regarding patient care in regards to my health etc !

I have just had my gallbladder out at hinchingbrooke hospital and due to the nature of my job (courier) I was told by staff at hinchingbrooke (after day surgery) that I had to have 6 weeks off work !

6 weeks and self employed isn’t good as I have NO money coming into my house !!! I was told to contact benefits to get ESA for self employed people and I have done so but they need a sick not from my GP!!! I contacted the GP and requested a call back regarding this for the receptionist to tell me I had to go back to hospital to get a sick note !

I rang hinchingbrooke and they adviced me that my GP would have received a letter from them regarding my surgery etc and they should give me my sick note !!!

AGAIN THEY REFUSED !!! I also a contacted the surgery the day before requesting more tablets and they (after long winded conversations) told me my prescription was sent directly to the chemist opposite the surgery ..this was early morning and I went to collect it and it wasn’t there !! Again I spoke to the receptionist/office staff and they told me it had be sent !! I then went to collect it at 16.50 to be informed by the pharmacy that it had only just gone through to them !!

I’m disgusted to how the reception/office staff come across so disrespectful (as if the patients are being awkward) and the lack of help myself as a patient has received and the attitude of one member of the office/reception in particular has given me face to face and on the phone .

Also in the past ;about a year ago) I had a lump in my breast and I as referred to addenbrookes for a scan/check-up ) and was waited a few weeks and still no appointment and the waited and waited as instructed by receptionist as there’s a waiting list (which I totally understand) but turn out after weeks of waiting and my daughter phoning the hospital directly that my appointment request hadn’t been sent from FIRS to then be told when I went back to the doctors to find out why ( they forgot to send it as they had issues with the computer) MY HEALTH WAS AT RISK

THEN AND IT TOOK DIRECT CONTACT FROM

MY

DAUGHTER TO GET ME A APPOINTMENT!!!

I am fed up with being pushed from pillows to post ! Organisation in this surgery is diabolical ...I need my sick note urgently and once again I’m told to sort it myself with the hospital.

I’m disgusted and I’ve had enough..THEY ARE IN RECEIPT OF MY HOSPITAL LETTER SO HIE HARD IS IT TO SIGN A SICK NOTE????
