"Collapsed alone at home. (loss of consciousness )"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Cardiology

After collapsing on September 22nd, I called 111 and having examined me, the Doctor called an ambulance, the staff on board were brilliant while I was taken to hospital, thanks to the paramedic.

In A&E I was thoroughly assessed and transferred to a ward overnight and

The next day, I was admitted to the Cardiology ward, B18, where I had a Holter monitor fitted, which detected a very low heart rate, with some pauses in heartbeat.

Consequently, following day, the Cardiologist informed me that I was to have a pacemaker fitted, which was fitted on September 26th, after an excellent procedure, with very pleasant staff.

Subsequently, the care I received from all the staff on the ward, was excellent and very caring

Thank you for all your help. The Pacemaker has transformed my quality of life, which was good and now even better.
