I was sent an appointment to see a Dr at 9 am in Middleton. I live in Moortown and pass 2 hospitals on the way to Middleton. I cannot get there. So I cancelled the appointment on line and explained why. A week before the appointment date I received a text asking if I was still attendending I replied and said no I had already cancelled it as I cannot get to Middleton. I then received a 2nd appointment for 9:30am again at Middleton. So this time I rang only to find the lines are only open 8:30-4:45 Monday to Friday. No good when you work 8 am - 5 pm. So I waited till my day off ( I work a 2 week rota ) I then rang after 20 minutes I was put through to someone, I explained what had happened and he made me another appointment at St James. Great I thought. Got home from work tonight to find a letter telling me because I have cancelled 2 appointments they have taken me off the list and referred me back to the G p. It was the optician that referred me. I think this is totally disgusting. Is this a way to keep NHS list down. The only problem was where the appointments were not the day or times.
