I was transferred to the NGH Cardio-Thoracic centre, after being diagnosed at another hospital, with a severely stenosed aortic valve.
From the minute I arrived, to the minute I left, the care and treatment I received was nothing short of truly outstanding and I cannot find fault with any aspect whatsoever of my experience at the hospital.
All the staff, from domestic to consultant, were a pleasure to deal with and every aspect of my care was patient centred and respectful.
I would also like to point out that that each aspect of my care, from the initial admit onto the cardiac ward, through cardiac surgery, ICU, HDU and finally pacemaker insertion before returning to the cardiac ward, was flawless and a first class example of top level team work in action.
I could go on heaping praise but all I would say is that should any prospective patient be reading this, then, from my experience, I would not be at all worried about what to expect as the service and care (for myself at least) were truly exceptional and every aspect a credit to every single person involved. Well done and many thanks to everyone involved from a truly grateful patient.
"Superb, Outstanding, Exceptional."
