"Diagnosed with polyp"

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Gynaecology

After being referred by my doctor I was seen in clinic just over one week I was then diagnosed with a polyp and had a biopsy done at the same time two weeks later I was in theatre having it removed and some more biopsies done I am woman in remission from breast cancer so it was so good to be seen quickly I have had a letter back saying that the polyp has pre-cancerous cells and I'm just waiting for the other biopsies my first one was clear ( they are sending me an appointment to see me in clinic )

So please that is was seen to so fast

The staff and doctors were brilliant and I was treated with the upmost decency

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment about the experiences you had in our Gynaecology department. I was very pleased to hear that action was taken so quickly to ensure that a biopsy was carried out in a timely fashion, knowing your previous history and the concern that this could cause you. I will share your comments with the doctors and nurses in the Gynaecology Department as I know that they would like to hear how the care they provided resulted in such a positive experience for you.
