What I liked
My husband was already in a very fragile state when he fell and added damaged ribs to his osteporosis-damaged spine. He fought hard to avoid the trip to A & E - the probable wait and inevitable manhandling. We were astonsihed at the tenderness and extreme delicacy of the care he received.
We were there all day, but whenever he had to be moved the staff bothered to round up four precious staff to do it. Result, no pain and no more damage.
Can't praise them enough, when they were already so busy, probaby with many more seriously sick and injured people.
What could be improved
Transport:
Wonderful ambulance and care on the inward trip. Very long wait for the one stretcher-bearing ambulance to return us home on discharge at the end of the day. I understand this problem is being addressed and mention it only to add weight to the argument for change.
"Exemplary care"
