"GP Visits"

About: Clarence Medical Centre

Flu Jab appointment went smoothly. .Reception not discrete as others in the queue can often hear clearly what is being said.

Embarrassing if one knows the patient who is in front of you.

Area is too small to allow one to move away from earshot.

Doors from reception into main waiting area heavy and difficult to manage pushing

a wheelchair - so one needs to back into the room and turn round once through.

Chairs are positioned in neat rows without sufficient room to park a wheelchair

without blocking both the access for other patients and those sitting in the

same row.

When using computer login only the Doctors' name is used.

This means one has

no idea which room one needs to access.

It takes wheelchair users a while to

access the first floor.

One has to remember to ask at reception beforehand.

Many thanks for your comments.

We are aware of the confidentiality issues with the current reception set up and we are actively looking at ways to get around this.

In the mean time patients can ask to speak to a member of the reception team in a private room if they wish, or write down their complaint.

We pride ourselves on excellent care and look forward to letting our patients know about the improvements to made in reception.
