"Wait! Wait! Wait!"

I have recently had a knee replacement. I called in to the surgery on Thursday 27th Sept requesting a sick note. The following Tuesday called in to collect it but the dates were wrong. Reception told me no problem, we can request a new one and made a note of the dates needed. Told me to call the next day before coming back over.

It is now 6 days later and I am still waiting for it and have been told this morning they can’t guarantee it will be done today?!?! How long does it take?!?!

I can not believe that the doctor does not literally have 10 seconds to do something so simple?!

My employer is now hassling me for this which as I am recovering from major knee surgery is the last thing I need and to be worried about.

I simply cannot believe that this is the normal for requesting such a simple item. Maybe it would be quicker and easier to book and waste an appointment and actually see a doctor and get one there and then?!?!!!
