"High dependancy unit excellent"

About: Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

I was recently admitted to your Hdu at Northern General Sheffield on Thurs 4th Oct and am currently still on ward with hdu on sun 7th Oct 2018. I suffered a near fatal crush injury involving 2.5 tonne landing on me causing thankfully only broken ribs and a couple of minor fractures.

I would very much like to thank the entire team that has been involved in my recovery and care,, from various trauma consultants, physio specialists, staff providing meals and refreshments and especially the sometimes unsung hero's of a hospital staff, the nursing team that have give me professional, considerate and lovely care day and night throughout my stay. Making my treatment and otherwise very traumatic experience something totally different and for giving me the very best care and attention I have ever experienced in a hospital setting. The team are an absolute credit to the NHS and I would very much like it if my thanks was passed onto everyone involved. Many thanks.

Thank you for leaving feedback and we are so sorry you have been through such a traumatic time. Your kind words will be passed on to the team involved and they will really appreciate receiving this. It will mean a great deal to them to know you felt well cared for and supported, as this is what they strive for.
