"Excellent care given by all members of staff"

My mother was taken into Colchester General Hospital in July 2018, firstly to the D'Arcy ward, and then to the Stroke Unit.

Both these departments were located in the Gainsborough Wing.

The quality of care given by the staff in both wards was excellent.

With no exceptions, every member of staff that I spoke to or witnessed treating my mother was caring, hardworking and helpful.

In addition, the way that they kept us informed as her family and involved us in decisions was very impressive.

Both departments seemed extremely well organised.
